Making Music at ACE

World Book Day
Sun 08 Mar 2020Thank you for supporting our celebration of all things “Book” this week. Our reading breakfast was a great success; it was fabulous to see the children dressed in costumes or pyjamas and to welcome so many parents and carers in to the classrooms to enjoy a cosy read together.
Thanks, too, to the Footlights theatre company who performed for us on Friday morning. (Think I might think again about that dentist’s appointment...)

Internet Safety Week
Tue 18 Feb 2020We were delighted to welcome Google into school this morning to deliver their "Be Internet Legends" assembly to our KS2 children.
The children learnt how to stay safe when on-line and also how to be kind and respectful whilst using the internet.

Caring and Growing with Trafford’s Inter-generational Partnership Project
Mon 17 Feb 2020Some children from Doves Class had the pleasure of visiting the residents of Oldfield Bank Nursing Home this afternoon. They shared some of their drawings, had some fascinating conversations and even sang some songs. Everyone is looking forward to another visit next week!

Welcome Archdeacon Mike
Fri 24 Jan 2020Archdeacon Mike visited school on Wednesday this week. He took part in our morning worship, lead by Kingfisher Class, and enjoyed a brief tour of the school. -
Science with Cabbage!
Tue 21 Jan 2020Professor Wilson visited school today and wowed the children with some amazing scientific experiments. Lots of budding scientists have been inspired by the wonders of chemistry!

Live Music Comes To A.C.E.!
Fri 17 Jan 2020We were treated to a truly magnificent live performance on Thursday when John, Alison and Tom from HHMusic came to share with us their passion for music education. There really is nothing quite like experiencing live music and these musicians are superb. As well as playing popular tunes that the children recognised and enjoyed, they reminded us of the educational boost and the benefits to mental health and wellbeing that playing an instrument provides. -
Lighting up the Town!
Thu 19 Dec 2019Once again we were delighted to take part in Altrincham’s Christmas Lantern Parade. Children in Swallows and Doves took part in a fabulous workshop to create the lantern, and many of our families joined the parade on the day. Our singing club also entertained the crowds on the stage. Well done everyone! -
