Week 7

Hello to all my FANTASTIC Finches and your families! It was wonderful to see so many of you (and your pets!), during our zoom chat last week. A special well done to our BINGO winners too! Thank you for all the lovely messages throughout the week and Katherine kindly sent in her fabulous artwork to show me:
It is really sad that this is our last week as the "Finches Class" together. I have thoroughly enjoyed being your teacher in Year 4 but I am so disappointed that our time together in school was stopped in March. Obviously COVID-19 has been, and still is, very difficult for everybody. I am so proud of you all! I can't wait to see you again, this Tuesday, when you come to school to meet your Year 5 teachers. At the end of your transition visit, you will be able to collect all your books and belongings from our classroom. Your beautiful "Golden Writing" books and RE books have been given to your next teacher, ready for September.

Here's the work for this week, please just try to do your best:

Maths for week beginning 20/7/20:

Please go to www.whiterosemaths.com/homelearning and select Year 4.

We are now on Summer Term - week 12 (w/c 13th July)

(not w/c 20th July because we had a 2 week break for Whit).

Monday 20th July: Lesson 1 - Lines of symmetry

Tuesday 21st July: Lesson 2 - Complete a symmetric figure

Wednesday 22nd July: Lesson 3 - Describe position

Thursday 23rd July: Lesson 4 - Draw on a grid

Friday 24th July: Friday Maths Challenge

Please keep practising your times tables on TT Rock Stars. Again, I would like you to choose a different sheet from the the 'times tables and division facts colouring booklet' below:

English work for week beginning 20/7/20:

Here's a reminder about Bug Club for reading but it is absolutely fine to read your own books from home:

The following English booklet, revises content covered in Year 4. Please use it to practise your skills:

Finally, I would like you to look back at your Time Capsule Activity Booklet from the second week of home learning (Summer 1, week 2). Please look closely at pages 2 & 7 and see if there is anything to add:

Here are some suggested RE activities for the final week:

Thank you so much parents for your continued help, support and encouragement with this home learning. I really appreciate the hard work you have done, during this very difficult time.

I hope you all manage to have a good summer break and that we can come back to some normality in September.

Please continue to keep safe and well everybody.

Hopefully see most of you in school this Tuesday Finches!

Love from Miss Gregory x
