We did it! 👍 Last week before a nice break. 🌞🌞🌞 I’m so proud of all of the hard work you have put in.⭐️⭐️⭐️ I hope you all have a lovely relaxing break with your families. 🌈🌈🌈
Here's my finished Robin. It took a lot longer than I planned. I did get in the learning pit and pricked my fingers with the needle a couple of times! I'm really pleased with my finished robin and can't wait for you all to see it.
Year One Maths

Year Two Maths

Year Two Phonics
This week we complete the focus 'eer' say 'ear' and the focus 'ture' say 'cher'. There are 6 lessons this week to ensure you complete the focus, as half term starts next week.
Grammar
I'd like you to look at subordinating conjunctions this week. I have uploaded some activities to support the PowerPoint.
Writing
This week, we are looking at the continent that the Amazon Rainforest is found in. I have uploaded a PowerPoint from the GoJetters who explore South America along with a link to an episode of the GoJetters and Andy's Safari Adventures that links with our topic really well. I would like you to create a multiple choice quiz all about the Amazon Rainforest, like the one in the GoJetter's PowerPoint. You can use facts that you have learnt along the way or find out some extra ones to create a quiz. It doesn't need to be long, 3 questions is more than enough.
Remember to use questions starters, such as;

Reading
Science
In science this week we will continue looking at plants and what they need to grow. Look through the PowerPoints and then complete the sheets. Remember if you don't have access to a printer you can just write the answers on paper or talk through your answers with a grown up.

Last week we listened to some stories that are important to Muslims. We learned that Muslims believe that we should try hard to look after all of God’s creation. This week, we are going to find out more about that belief.

Thank you so much for all your support and hard work during this difficult time. I have seen some amazing work and I’m very proud of all the children.⭐️ It is now time for a well-deserved break. Please try to enjoy the two weeks family time as much as possible and you will hear from me again on the 8th June.🌈🌈🌈
As this is another holiday during lockdown you might like to do some fun activities with your child.🌞⛺️👩🏻🍳🌷
- You could plan a ‘Holiday at Home!’ You could have a ‘camping’ holiday in your lounge or wear holiday clothes for a day to make it fun and different for you all. If you have a sandpit you could make sandcastles or if you have a paddling pool you could splash about in your swimming costume.🏖
- Why not write a postcard and send it to relatives or friends? Remember to start your postcard with ‘Wish you were here!’ ✏️✏️✏️
- You could try some box modelling and design a building you would like to stay in on holiday. Or you could design a park with play equipment like swings, slides and zip-wire.
- Keep reading lots of stories and enjoying books.📚
- Keep fit and make sure you have lots of nice walks, bike and scooter rides, especially when the weather is nice.🛴🚲
- Plan something nice to eat with everyone in your house. You might like to plan a barbecue meal to eat outdoors or have something that reminds you of a place you have visited on holiday.🍲🍜🍝
- Paint a special stone. Once we are back, we can place them around our school outside areas. You can leave your special stone in a box outside the front entrance of school.
