Week 5
We have had another busy week in Kingfishers.
After weeks of reading, talking, planning, drafting, sharing, evaluating and “purple-polishing”, the children have presented their texts in response to Journey by Aaron Becker. A selection can be viewed below. Well done everyone!
It’s been a particularly challenging week in maths, as many of us have been tackling long division. Full marks to everyone for persevering and using your growth mindset to get through the learning pit. Have a look at the videos here if you want to go over the steps.

in history we learned about the impact of the industrial revolution. We are investigating Manchester’s twinned cities in our geography lessons; children have been asked to see what they can find out and next week we will do some map investigation and compare transport systems.
The children have worked very thoughtfully in our Jigsaw and RE lessons which have been closely linked this week. We have been exploring rights and responsibilities in the “Being Me” puzzle, whilst our learning question in RE has explored the reasons why and ways in which Christians try to share the world’s resources.
