Week 4
We continue to learn about the significance of Baghdad and the surrounding region through our theme this term. This week we explored further the geographical aspects of trade along the famous Silk Road.
In our RE work the children dug deep for meaning in some Old Testament passages referring to the concept of forgiveness. The children were able to make insightful observations about the relationships between forgiveness and other important values, for example justice and wisdom.
Have a look at our first class sing-through of the piece we have been working on in music this term, Benjamin Britten’s “Carol for the New Year”. Over the next week or two, we will develop techniques to do with pitch, dynamics and phrasing and see how our performance progresses.
