This week in Fledglings we have all enjoyed reading, Super Worm by Julia Donaldson. We explored rhyming words and worked hard to make rhyming strings. We used a wizards hat to place rhyming words in.

The story inspired us to make a wishing well. We thought of some lovely wishes, ranging from, I wish I could be a mermaid to I wish I could fly. The children explored looking at coin values and handled money as they threw the coins in the wishing well. We also added fairy dust, to make sure our wishes would come true. 

This week we were so lucky to receive a visit from Mrs Hardingham, a heart specialist Nurse. Mrs Hardingham taught us lots of interesting facts about our hearts. We loved using her stethoscope to hear our heart beat.
