Our first key text for this half term is The Promise by Nicola Davies.  We read the text and listened to an interview with the author; we deduced that the author’s main purpose is to persuade us towards a particular point of view. We explored the persuasive features in the text then worked in our fab 4s to research for ourselves the facts about the benefits of planting trees.

We used our art work to complete designs for our topic book covers, inspired by the patterns in the city of Baghdad.
