Doves Class Blog Week 1 Spring 2

I couldn’t have asked for a better week back at school this week. All of the children have continued to demonstrate all of our school values and have shown a brilliant commitment to learning.

PHSE and Citizenship:

Well done to the year 4 Doves who visited Oldfield Bank Nursing home. The children shared some of their drawings and told them about the things they enjoyed doing at school. We are all looking forward to going back next week.

PHSE, Citizenship and Computing:

This week ACE have took part in Internet safety week. On Monday we had a fantastic internet safety play performed by Footlights. Then on Tuesday we had an Internet Legends Assembly by Google. Both assemblies have been great talking points for the children and have encouraged them to think about the activities they do online. KS2 were rewarded with a certificate this is now displayed in the school entrance hall.

On Thursday we enjoyed our class lessons on the Do’s and Don’ts of online safety and played internet safety snakes and ladders. This was an excellent recap of the week’s learning. Please continue to work with your child at home on internet safety.
