We really enjoyed listening to Julia Donaldson’s story, The Smeds and Smoos. The theme of the book is about friendship and celebrating each other’s differences. We spoke about the way we are similar and different to our friends. We made a class graph to show the colour of our eyes. Nursery did some super counting and recognised which colour we had the most of. 

In our play dough area we designed and made our own Smed and Smoos, using blue and red play dough. 

We have been using our super scissor skills to cut rockets out and have designed and made our own rockets. We had fun with the glitter and sparkles. 

In construction play we used the carpet tiles to make model rockets. Our skills in counting down to make our rocket launch are super!
