Christmas Decoration Day

Thanks for supporting the children to have a wonderful, festive day on Monday.  The children looked superb in their Christmas clothes and it was great to welcome parents into the classroom to work with us.  Check out the results on our Twitter feed and in the hall - look up!

Vocabulary Enrichment 

Groups of children worked together to explore shades of meaning. Each group started with five synonyms.  They had to discuss the precise meaning of each word and decide on how to order them.  We began to think about how these words could be used in the context of our current key text, Rose Blanche.  We will develop this work further next week.

We have been carrying out some assessments this week.  The children have worked really hard - well done everybody, you have earned the Christmas treats that will be happening at the end of term. I’m proud of each and every one of you!
