Autumn 2 Week 5
This week the fledglings have been doing lots of measuring! This week we focused on measuring heights, comparing how tall and short we are. We also continued our exploration of space, writing about astronaughts! We had loads of fun eating dried space food, although we weren’t very keen on the dried watermelon. This week we have listened to the story of Owl Babies. We made a fantastic story map and performed the story in class. We used our tuff tray to re tell the story. This inspired us to learn about nocturnal animals. We thought it was very interesting that so many animals were awake while we were sleeping. We listened to the story Say Goodnight to the animals.
This week we have been doing lots of funky fingers exercises. We have been learning some new dough disco moves!
In IT this week we used the i pads to show off our counting skills.
We are also busy preparing for our exciting Decoration Day. We have started to decorate our home corner with a tree and tinsel. We are also very busy rehearsing our fabulous Nativity. We can’t wait for you to see at our performance. Please remember Nursery fledglings will need to wear a white t shirt/ dress. We will be dressing the children but will require the clothes to be in. named bag.
